The Record Studio for my album
Hi brothers and sister,
I would like to share with you the place where my new album will be recorded. This work is about Meditation Music, Mantras and Medicine Songs and because of that I really want to be in nature to do this work so I decided to record in my caravan, in a place were only 4X4 vehicles can access, free of all the craziness of the city.
I always worked in studios like everyone, but I also wanted normal goals in the past. I'm talking about making a deal with a Major Label, have a marketing strategy, found sponsors, etc.
As you may realise now, I refuse myself to continue attached with this standard way of work.
This album is about Inner Silence so, going to an underground closed studio, with all of that electricity and closed ambient makes the energy drop to low energy. It is what it is. So nature is where I want to be as a human being and makes sense to me record this work in the mountains!
I will make it all by myself, with a small battery to charge my laptop, and a couple of Mics. In fact is what we need to make a record. I' always saying to my students to do not get impressed with big studios with a lot of gear. A Good Soundcard Interface with good Mics and a Dry Room is all we need to make magic, so I want to make this record as simple as possible and I want to report it so others musicians without the possibility to go to a professional studio, get inspired!
During this week I went there (My caravan) to make some final tests before I can move there to record myself and guess what? The Caravan Room SOUNDZ GREAT to record!!! It have a good sweet spot between a dry and wet room, I mean, its dry enough to make a good recording but not so dry that makes difficult to have a good sound recording. And because we are in the middle of nowhere, there's no noise to worry about. It's perfect and it will be a good experience I'm sure!
